Three of
America's top PDs talk about their careers, and what they look
for in air talent.
Patrick
Davis is the program director of KISS-FM (KHKS) in Dallas,
the consistently top-rated CHR and home of Kidd Kraddick in the
morning, where Patrick previously served as operations manager.
Prior to his involvement with Kraddick's show, Patrick was
PD/morning man at WFMF, Baton Rouge, LA and PD/afternoon drive
at KWTX, Waco, TX.
Van
Harden is the program director and morning host of WHO in
Des Moines. In his 21 years at WHO, Van has won eight national
Marconi awards, three of which were for the morning show. What's
more, that morning show, "Van and Bonnie," is the most
listened-to program in the history of Iowa radio.
Kipper
McGee is the program director of the legendary WLS in
Chicago. Prior to his WLS appointment, Kipper was with Talk
Radio Network and had his own consulting practice. Previously,
he programmed WDBO, Orlando, bringing the Cox News/Talk outlet
to its first Number One slot in decades. Before that, he was
director of programming & Internet marketing for KRTS in St.
Louis.
